CAPACITY offers free, self-paced courses designed to help RNs strengthen knowledge and skills to practice to the full scope of license in community-based primary care settings

This module provides an overview of leading teams, with emphasis on strategies to build team cohesion, leverage diversity within teams, lead through change and effectively managing conflict.

Objectives

Upon completion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Describe the stages of team development
  • Explain leadership strategies to promote team cohesion.
  • Recognize the qualities of a change leader and how they serve as a model for change
  • Identify strategies to effectively negotiate conflict within teams
