CAPACITY offers free, self-paced courses designed to help RNs strengthen knowledge and skills to practice to the full scope of license in
community-based primary care settings

Lean is a continuous process improvement methodology, with the goal of identifying and eliminating non-value-added waste activities. This module introduces Lean, and how it can be applied in healthcare settings.

Objectives

  • Describe Lean methodology and key goals
  • Recognize and describe the Lean 8 Types of Waste in a healthcare context
  • Describe Lean methods and tools, such as A3 and 5S
