CAPACITY offers free, self-paced courses designed to help RNs strengthen knowledge and skills to practice to the full scope of license in
community-based primary care settings

This module is a continuation of the treatment process for patients with high blood pressure/hypertension, but our focus has shifted from lifestyle changes to pharmacologic treatment options. You will learn about the types of medication and how to combine them to help treat hypertension in adult patients.Lean is a continuous process improvement methodology, with the goal of identifying and eliminating non-value-added waste activities. This module introduces Lean, and how it can be applied in healthcare settings.

Objectives

  • Identifying barriers to practicing within a primary care setting
  • Collecting subjective assessment, including History and Physical (H&P) and History of Present Illness (HPI)
  • Selecting appropriate diagnostic test for each condition
